Egypt eSIM not connecting: the checks, in order

  • Line on
  • Data roaming on
  • Pick the network by hand

The short answer

Check four things in order: the eSIM line is on, it is chosen for mobile data, data roaming is on for it, and airplane mode has been switched off and on. Then pick a network by hand. If it still fails, write to the store's support while you are in Egypt.

The checks

First, the eSIM line is switched on. Second, it is chosen for mobile data. Third, data roaming is on for the eSIM line. Fourth, turn airplane mode on for ten seconds and off again, or restart the phone.

Pick the network by hand

In the eSIM line’s settings, turn off automatic network selection and choose each network in the list in turn. Wait a minute on each one.

When the data runs out

If data worked and then stopped, check your order page: once the plan’s data or days are used, the network may slow or stop mobile data.

Write to support

If nothing works, write to the store’s support while you are still in Egypt, with your order page link, your phone model and screenshots of the mobile data settings. If the eSIM cannot be made to work, you get a full refund: see refunds.

Still stuck?
